A consolidation of creative forces.

BFP Creative Inc. became a non-profit to impact and support creative communities through access to spaces. The 501(c)(3) was first envisioned by the owners of Brooklyn Fire Proof Inc., Thomas Burr Dodd and Pearl Son Dodd, who opened BFP in 1999 as a small gallery with a few artists’ studios located in the historic Brooklyn Fireproof Sash & Doors building at 101 Richardson St. in Williamsburg. This building was the progenitor a business that now represents a multi-site complex of interconnected and thriving businesses in the Bushwick/East Williamsburg section of Brooklyn serving the creative community with thousands of square feet of artist studios, sound stages for film and television, art galleries and a cafe/bar.
